What's the Watson Brothers Trio about, and How we got started?
The Watson Brother's Trio started in May of 2009, in the studio of the "Bethel Bible School," in Englewood, TN, where still practice today. The Watson Brothers, Eddy, and Jonathan had already been singing for years as soloists, but the Rev. David Davis, pulled out the Old Song, "I'm Free Again," out of the Church Hymnal, just for fun.
Jonathan hit the High Harmony Tenor Part, David Davis, hit the Baritone, and Eddy hit the Strong Lead, and filling in the Bass part in places and the sound was born.
Since then on some of each of the solo selections the David, Eddy, and Jonathan switch around parts to make it easier on each other. The group sings with live music, Piano, Bass, and some other acoustic instruments 95% of the time and the rest is provided by pre-recorded studio tracks. The Trio his high energy with four speedy selections and four, medium speed to soothing ballads steeped in the tradition of Old Time Southern Gospel, Camp-Meeting, Revival Style messages. At the same time each member expresses their own ideals of the Christian walk, and the Simple, "Plan of Salvation."
They are booking Revivals, Camp-Meetings, Saturday Night Singings and Homecomings. The Revival dates consist of Mon, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday Night services depending on the Trios individual full-time work schedules. The group wishes for nothing more than a generous love offering at Church events. The most important thing of all is that the Watson Brothers Trio see the God's conviction power comes on the scene to bring sinner's to repentance and a eternal saving knowledge of Lord Savior Jesus Christ at the concerts or the services.
